General Provisions Designating the Days in 2019 That Financial Entities Supervised by the CNBV Must Close and Suspend Operations

The document mandates that specific financial entities supervised by the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV) must close their doors and suspend operations on designated holidays in 2019, including New Year's Day, Presidents' Day, Benito Juárez's Birthday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Labor Day, Independence Day, Revolution Day, and Christmas. Warehouse receipts and exchange houses are exempt from these closure requirements and may operate year-round. Entities wishing to open on the specified holidays or close on additional days must submit a prior notice to the CNBV detailing the locations and operations, without requiring formal authorization. The CNBV retains the authority to veto or correct these calendars if they jeopardize the national payment system or financial stability.
