The Connecticut Department of Banking lists the 2003 state legal holidays, clarifying that they are not mandatory bank holidays. Individual banks and credit unions may choose to close or remain open on these dates without notifying the department. Institutions must provide at least two weeks' advance notice to customers regarding holiday openings and closings by posting notices in each office lobby.
