The regulation appoints the Société de la Bourse de Luxembourg S.A. as the Officially Appointed Mechanism (OAM) for the central storage of regulated information. The appointment takes effect once the Commission de surveillance du secteur financier verifies that necessary facilities are in place, with completion required by 1 January 2009. Until this appointment is effective, issuers with Luxembourg as their home Member State fulfill filing obligations by making regulated information publicly available on their own websites, designated public sites, or regulated market sites. The Commission supervises OAMs for compliance with minimum quality standards and may withdraw the appointment if standards are consistently failed, while OAMs must provide one year's notice to resign.
