The National Bank of Angola establishes rules for financial institutions to deposit metal coins, requiring 24-hour advance notice via the Pre-Notifications Management Portal and limiting deposits to Kz 5,000,000 once per week between 8:30 and 13:30. Coins must be packaged in bags of 500 units with specific identification, and segregated into apt, unfit for circulation, or suspected categories for authenticity verification. The Bank credits unfit coins on the deposit date and reconciles any discrepancies daily through the Real-Time Payment System (SPTR).
