Guidelines on AML/CFT Cooperation

The guidelines establish requirements for cooperation and information exchange between prudential supervisors, AML/CFT supervisors, and financial intelligence units regarding institutions under Directive 2013/36/EU. These authorities must exchange relevant information gathered during their tasks, both on request and on own initiative, throughout the supervisory life cycle including authorisation, ongoing supervision, and sanctions. The guidelines apply from 1 June 2022, and competent authorities must notify the EBA of their compliance status by 11 April 2022.
