The ESDD Risk Assessment Tool is significantly upgraded and enhanced to align with global best practices for more comprehensive, reliable, and effective risk assessment. This update applies to all scheduled banks and finance companies in Bangladesh. The circular takes effect immediately under the authority of Section 45 of the Bank Companies Act, 1991, and Section 41(2) of the Finance Company Act, 2023.
