Guidelines on Environmental Risk Management (ERM)
Bangladesh Bank issues Guidelines on Environmental Risk Management (ERM) applicable to all Banks and Financial Institutions in Bangladesh to manage environmental risks in financing decisions. Financial institutions are required to adopt these guidelines by June 30, 2011, and may submit implementation suggestions by May 31, 2011. The guidelines serve as a minimum framework for individual institutions to launch their own environmental risk assessment structures and are subject to revision at least once every three years.
