INVESTMENTS IN AFRICAN BANK INVESTMENTS LIMITED (Under Curatorship)

1. Introduction

Following the placing of African Bank Investments Limited ("ABIL") under curatorship, this office has received numerous enquiries and complaints regarding the investments of retirement funds being held directly in ABIL debt instruments as well as through collective investment scheme portfolios, insurance policies and investment managers.

2. Information required:

In order for us to determine the extent of retirement fund investments as well as the challenges experienced by funds regarding these investments, we hereby request funds to complete and forward the attached survey document electronically to Loraine.deSwardt@fsb.co.za by no later than close of business on 28 November 2014.
