Banks and Microfinance Banks may establish Islamic Banking Windows within conventional branches approved for conversion without prior State Bank of Pakistan approval, covering the interim period until final conversion. The regulator waives processing and annual fees for these interim windows and relaxes signage requirements, allowing prominent internal display instead of fixed board proportions. Connectivity mandates are revised to require real-time links with the controlling branch, hub, or centralized data centre rather than the closest Islamic branch. These amended instructions apply immediately to all conventional banks and Microfinance Banks operating Islamic Banking Windows.
