Interpretation Order on Article 2 of the Management Measures for Special Project Use of Insurance Industry Funds for Investment in Public and Social Welfare Enterprises
The Financial Supervisory Commission issued an interpretation order clarifying that investments in government-approved AI and other strategic promotion plans qualify as policy-aligned fund uses under Article 2, Paragraph 7 of the Management Measures for Special Project Use of Insurance Industry Funds. Insurance companies must ensure that if an investment target also meets the criteria of Article 3 or Article 4 of the Measures, they must comply with the specific regulations of those respective articles instead. This interpretation order took effect immediately upon issuance on June 16, 2026.
