IVAE grew 5.6% in May 2026
The Economic Activity Volume Index (IVAE) recorded a 5.6% growth in May 2026 compared to May 2025, marking five consecutive months of growth rates at or above 4.0%. Construction led with a 9.7% increase, while Real Estate Services, Government Services, and Commerce, transport, hotels, and restaurants each grew by 6.7%. Financial and Insurance Activities rose 4.7%, Industrial Production increased 4.5%, and Professional, Technical, and Other Services grew 3.9%. Conversely, Agriculture, livestock, forestry, and fishing contracted by 0.7% due to climatic factors.
