To administrators of investment funds
Subject: Updates regarding the Integra-CNPJ System
Dear Sirs,
This Circular Letter aims to disseminate complementary information to Joint Circular Letters No. 3 and 5/2022/CVM/SIN/SSE, of November 30, 2022 and December 30, 2022, respectively, which dealt with the new integrated system for managing fund registration in the National Registry of Legal Entities (“Integra-CNPJ”), in operation since December 12, 2022.
As is known, Integra-CNPJ allowed administrators of investment funds to obtain the registration number in the National Registry of Legal Entities (“CNPJ”) directly through the registration of the fund with the CVM, via an API application developed by the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service (“RFB”) for this purpose (“RedeSIM”).
As the next step towards improving the transparency of acts granting CNPJ to investment funds and the respective registration updates at the RFB handled by the CVM, we inform you that, starting from the date of publication of this Circular Letter, an automatic notification routine will be available to administrators of investment funds. This routine will notify them whenever the RFB system returns an error message in the request made through the CVM, enabling more effective and timely monitoring of any pending updates and the necessary measures for their resolution.
The CVM remains committed to expanding the use and functionalities associated with this system, given the significant reduction in compliance costs for administrators of investment funds observed upon its implementation.
Finally, we inform you that the removal of the requirement for the “CNPJ cancellation request protocol” when cancelling the registration of an investment fund with the CVM is still under development. Until the system in its new version enters production, we request that, when cancelling the registration of an investment fund, a copy of this Circular Letter be sent as a substitute document.
We reiterate that, in case of system problems in operations with the new system, the CVM can be contacted through our external support, whose contact is suporteexterno@cvm.gov.br.
