Joint ESAs Guidelines on the system for the exchange of information relevant to fit and proper assessments

Competent authorities must use the ESAs Information System to submit, search, and request information regarding the fitness and propriety of holders of qualifying holdings, directors, and key function holders. Authorities are required to input assessment data within two weeks of receipt, maintain contact points, and respond to information requests within two weeks, while retaining data for a maximum of 15 years. The guidelines apply from 17 February 2025, with specific provisions for natural persons taking effect on 15 May 2025 and for legal persons on 30 April 2026.
