Law establishing the Capital Market Authority of Rwanda

The Parliament of Rwanda enacted Law No. 057/2021 Bis to establish the Capital Market Authority (CMA) as an autonomous, specialized regulatory body. The legislation mandates the CMA to oversee capital market activities, issue binding directives and regulations, and supervise securities trading alongside commodity exchanges. It further defines the authority’s governance structure, financial resources, and operational procedures to ensure effective market regulation.
