Law No. 27806 on Transparency and Access to Public Information
Issued in Peru on August 2, 2002, Law No. 27806 establishes the framework to promote transparency in state actions. It regulates the fundamental right of access to information, as enshrined in numeral 5 of Article 2 of the Political Constitution of Peru.
