Lifting of Suspension Notice for SMIs

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Zimbabwe lifts the suspension of Mr. Benson Gasura’s securities dealing licence with immediate effect. This decision follows the completion of the investigation into FBC Securities’ continued possession of unclaimed shares, which was conducted in terms of Section 49 (1) of the Securities and Exchange Act [Chapter 24:25]. The suspension was originally imposed to facilitate this investigation.

NOTICE TO ALL SECURITIES MARKET INTERMEDIARIES ON LIFTING OF SUSPENSION OF MR BENSON GASURA’S SECURITIES DEALING LICENCE IN TERMS OF SECTION 49 (1)(a) OF THE SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE ACT [CHAPTER 24:25] NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT; the investigation of FBC Securities’ continued possession of unclaimed shares, in contravention of SECZ Directives dated 29 August 2012 and 25 January 2013, has been completed. The suspension of Mr. Benson Gasura’s securities dealing licence to facilitate an investigation in terms of Section 49 (1) of the Securities and Exchange Act [Chapter 24:25] (“the Act”), is hereby lifted with immediate effect.
