Mapping of External Credit Assessment Institutions’ Rating Scales with Bangladesh Bank Rating Grade
Bangladesh Bank recognizes the Bangladesh Rating Agency Limited (BDRAL) as a full-fledged External Credit Assessment Institution (ECAI) in addition to its prior recognition for SME clients. Scheduled banks may nominate BDRAL, alongside six other existing rating agencies, for calculating risk-weighted assets against credit risk. The circular provides a mapping table aligning BDRAL's long-term and short-term rating scales with Bangladesh Bank's corresponding rating grades.
