SPRINGFIELD, IL - The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) announced that Acting Director of Banking, Susana Soriano, Director of Financial Institutions, Francisco Menchaca, Director of Professional Regulation, Camile Lindsay, and Director of Real Estate, Laurie Murphy signed the following enforcement actions. DIVISION OF PROFESSIONAL REGULATION UNLICENSED Laura Duffer, Lincoln, unlicensed - Ordered to cease and desist unlicensed practice of offering massage therapy services and assessed a $1,000 civil penalty without being licensed as a massage therapist in Illinois. Tang Lihua, Cary, unlicensed - Ordered to cease and desist the unlicensed practice of massage therapy services without an Illinois massage therapy license. ARCHITECT Steven Amu, Frankfort, 001015381 - Architect license and 184002891, professional design firm license are both placed in refuse to renew status due to multiple violations of the Illinois Architectural Practice Act, including practicing on a not-renewed license, and violating the terms of a consent order that Respondent previously entered into. BARBER, COSMETOLOGY, ESTHETICS, HAIR BRAIDING & NAIL TECHNOLOGY Katrina Borden, Edwardsville, 011278775 - Cosmetologist license is suspended for failure to file and/or pay Illinois state income taxes. Precious Brown, Maywood, 011321261 - Cosmetologist license is suspended for failure to file and/or pay Illinois state income taxes. Nia Burgess, Scottsdale, AZ, 131011143 - Esthetician license is suspended for failure to file and/or pay Illinois state income taxes.
