SPRINGFIELD, IL - The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) announced that Director of Banking, Susana Soriano, Director of Financial Institutions, Francisco Menchaca, Director of Professional Regulation, Camile Lindsay, and Director of Real Estate, Laurie Murphy signed the following enforcement actions. UNLICENSED J Imports Inc., Lindenhurst, unlicensed - ordered to cease and desist the unlicensed practice of wholesale drug distribution in the State of Illinois. Lizbeth Sanchez, Round Lake, unlicensed - a fine of $250 is assessed for the unlicensed practice of dentistry. Between February 2017 and December 2022, Respondent was employed at Bull Valley Dentistry located at 601 Ridgeview Dr., McHenry, IL 60050. On November 14, 2022, Respondent ordered ten (10) prescription strength teeth whitening kits using the dental hygienist license of another Bull Valley Dentistry employee. Thereafter, Respondent performed ten (10) teeth whitening services on patients using the prescription teeth whitening kits, which Respondent admitted to the City of McHenry Police Department. Respondent was not operating under any dental licenses when she performed teeth-whitening services. BARBER, COSMETOLOGY, ESTHETICS, HAIR BRAIDING & NAIL TECHNOLOGY Maria Bartos, Glen Ellyn, 169028583 - nail technician license is suspended for failure to file and/or pay Illinois state income taxes. Lamont Brown, Lansing, 006061583 - barber license has been suspended for failure to file and/or pay Illinois state income taxes. Darnell Brown, Crest Hill, 006068436 - barber license issued and placed on probation upon issuance for violation of the Illinois Barber, Cosmetology, Esthetics, Hair Braiding and Nail Technology Act.
