Modification of client codes of non-institutional trades executed on stock exchanges (All Segments)

Stock exchanges may waive the penalty for a client code modification where the stock broker produces evidence satisfactory to the exchange of a genuine error, but not more than one waiver per quarter per stock broker. Proprietary trades shall not be modified as client trades and vice versa. Stock exchanges shall report quarterly to SEBI on all modifications where penalties were waived, and take stringent disciplinary action against stock brokers making frequent client code modifications.
