NAMFISA Standards under the Financial Institutions and Markets Act, 2021: Preliminary and General
The Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority publishes standards defining the categories of professions for actuaries serving as valuators and establishing fit and proper requirements for registered entities, directors, officers, trustees, custodians, auditors, and valuators. These standards mandate assessments of competence, integrity, and financial soundness, requiring specific documentation submissions via the Electronic Regulatory System and allowing for disqualification or rehabilitation procedures. The standards come into effect on the date of publication in the Government Gazette.
