The Connecticut Department of Banking approves People's Bank's relocation from Bristol to Bristol and notes Citizens Bank of Rhode Island's application to acquire People's Bank assets. The Department also records Jamaica National Overseas's application for a money transmitter license and the withdrawal of VISTA International Remittance's application. In securities enforcement, the Commissioner denies Absolute Capital Management's registration, issues notices of intent to revoke or deny registrations for Indianapolis Securities, Schoff & Baxter, and Ari Dinov, and permanently bars Jan Lewandowski from the securities business. Additionally, the Department issues cease and desist orders and notices of intent to fine against Wilder Douglas Carnes, Eddie Papic, and Criterion Investment Capital LLC for antifraud violations related to the Criterion Investment Fund.
