The Connecticut Department of Banking solicits public comments on applications filed by the Savings Bank of Danbury to open a branch, Rockville Bank to relocate a branch, Commerce Bank, N.A. to establish a de novo branch, and E M Kay Enterprises to operate a check cashing service. The department also notes that Eckerd Credit Union has withdrawn its application to establish a branch in Connecticut. Additionally, Mutual Trust Company of America Securities, Inc. is required to pay $6,200 in fines and fees for engaging in unregistered broker-dealer activity and employing an unregistered agent in the state.
