The Connecticut Department of Banking approved NewAlliance Bank's application to open a branch at 560 Hawley Lane in Stratford, CT, and approved Connecticut State Check Cashing Service, Inc.'s license to operate at 2268 Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport, CT. Additionally, the Commissioner issued a Notice of Intent to Issue an Order to Cease and Desist against American Home Mortgage Servicing, Inc. for failing to pay real estate taxes for at least 38 mortgagors in violation of Connecticut General Statutes Section 36a-716(a). Written comments regarding these applications must be submitted within ten days of the bulletin's date.
