The Connecticut Department of Banking approved the relocation of a Farmington Savings Bank branch from Farmington to Avon and accepted a filing to convert a NewAlliance Bank branch in Madison to a limited branch. The Department also set the closing date for a Fairfield County Bank branch in Norwalk to June 30, 2009, and accepted a merger application for Valley Bank to acquire The Apple Valley Bank & Trust Company. Additionally, Williams Trading, LLC agreed to pay a $1,500 administrative fine and $500 in reimbursement for employing unregistered agents, while implementing revised supervisory procedures.
