Order C1448 2019 Issued December 3, 2024
The Supreme Court of Barbados, through Chief Justice Leslie Haynes, has issued Order C1448 2019 to formally delist Yassine Chekkouri from the terrorist entities and groups designated under the Anti-Terrorism (Amendment) Act, 2019-34. The order revokes the prior November 2019 designation, restores all property wholly or jointly owned by Chekkouri, and mandates immediate electronic publication and service on the Financial Intelligence Unit. The delisted individual or any affected party retains the right to appeal the decision to the Court of Appeal within sixty days upon providing fourteen days' notice to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
