Under the powers conferred by Section 17 of the Depository (Practical) Regulations, 2003, the Securities and Exchange Commission has declared the shares of Eastern Housing Limited, Reckitt Benckiser (Bangladesh) Limited, Reliance Insurance Limited, National Bank Limited, and Bangladesh Online Limited as eligible securities effective from September 28, 2004. As a result of this declaration, trading of the shares of Eastern Housing Limited, Reckitt Benckiser (Bangladesh) Limited, Reliance Insurance Limited, National Bank Limited, and Bangladesh Online Limited on the Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchanges will be restricted to repurchase (buy-back) transactions only, starting from September 29, 2004.
