Order to Cease and Desist and Civil Penalty Against REI Holdings, LLC
REI Holdings, LLC d/b/a Neff Companies, LLC and d/b/a REI Holdings must cease and desist from violating Section 36a-801(a) of the Connecticut General Statutes for operating as an unlicensed consumer collection agency. The entity is ordered to pay a civil penalty of $100,000 to the State of Connecticut within thirty days of the order's mailing. Additionally, the prior Order to Make Restitution becomes permanent, requiring the refund of all payments collected from Connecticut consumers since March 1, 2022, within thirty days of that order becoming permanent.
