OSC Survey Results on Canadian Awareness and Ownership of Crypto Assets
The Ontario Securities Commission published survey results indicating that 59 per cent of Canadians are aware of crypto assets and 25 per cent own them. Half of crypto owners reported checking whether their trading platform is registered, an increase from 38 per cent in 2023. The document notes that while awareness of stablecoins and tokenized real-world assets remains low, 38 per cent of those aware of crypto assets indicated they were highly likely to purchase them in the future.
