Procedural Regulation for Dobra Banknote Deposits
The Central Bank of São Tomé and Príncipe establishes procedural rules for financial institutions regarding the compilation, verification, and deposit of Dobra banknotes. Institutions must sort notes by denomination and condition, bundle them into macetes of 100 notes and milheiros of 1,000 notes with specific identification, and ensure proper binding. Discrepancies during counting result in automatic credits for excesses or debits for shortages, while non-compliance leads to the rejection of the entire deposit amount.
