The Financial Conduct Authority amends the Collective Investment Schemes sourcebook to align with the European Money Market Funds Regulation, deleting provisions on investment powers and disapplying certain investment restrictions for Money Market Funds. Existing funds must apply for authorisation by 21 January 2019, while new funds require authorisation from 21 July 2018. The Authority retains separate definitions for qualifying money market funds and designated money market funds, and establishes a new fees schedule to recover supervisory costs.
