The FCA introduces final rules and guidance establishing an anti-greenwashing rule for all FCA-authorised firms making sustainability-related claims, alongside four new investment labels and specific naming and marketing requirements for UK asset managers. The regime mandates consumer-facing disclosures and detailed pre-contractual, product-level, and entity-level information for funds marketed on sustainability grounds, while excluding portfolio management products from the current scope. Implementation is phased, with the anti-greenwashing rule and naming rules effective from 31 May 2024, label usage commencing 31 July 2024, and entity-level disclosures for firms with assets under management exceeding £5bn and £50bn required by 2 December 2024 and 2 December 2025 respectively.
