PS24/11: Extending the temporary changes to handling rules for motor finance complaints

The pause on the requirement for firms to provide a final response to discretionary commission arrangement (DCA) complaints is extended until 4 December 2025. The timeframe for consumers to refer complaints to the Financial Ombudsman is extended to 29 July 2026, and the obligation to maintain and preserve relevant records remains in place until 11 April 2026. These rules apply to motor finance providers, credit brokers, and professional representatives regulated by the FCA.
