The document extends the deadline for firms to send final responses to motor finance Discretionary Commission Arrangement (DCA) and non-DCA commission complaints to 31 May 2026, rather than the proposed 31 July 2026. Leasing complaints are excluded from this extension, requiring firms to send final responses starting 5 December 2025, with a standard eight-week response window. For complaints not covered by a potential future redress scheme, firms have up to eight weeks after 31 May 2026 to respond. The rules also revert the referral period to the Financial Ombudsman Service to six months for final responses sent after 29 January 2026.
