The Financial Conduct Authority replaces five existing complaints returns with a single, unified return based on firm permissions, requiring individual legal entity reporting instead of group-level submissions. Firms must report complaints data on fixed six-monthly periods starting 1 January 2027, include nil return options, and record whether complainants are in vulnerable circumstances using specific data points. The regulator will publish individual firm data for entities reporting 500 or more complaints, with affected firms having 12 months to implement the changes.
