PSD Circular Letter No. 08: Continuation of Uninterrupted Banking and Payment Services in Response to COVID-19
The Payment Systems Department of Bangladesh Bank extends the operating hours for interbank payment platforms to ensure uninterrupted banking and payment services during the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, the Bangladesh Clearing House (BANCS) system is authorized to process transactions from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM and from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM, while the Bangladesh Automated Clearing House (BACH) system operates from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with customs duties, fees, and interbank transactions permitted until 3:30 PM. These revised schedules remain in effect until further notice, and all other instructions from PSD Circular No. 09/2021 dated June 30, 2021, remain unchanged.
