The regulator urges the public to remain cautious when forming online relationships and to recognize red flags such as rapid emotional declarations, requests for money, and avoidance of video calls. Individuals are advised never to send funds or share personal banking details and to immediately contact their bank and the Tonga Police Cybercrime Unit if they suspect they have been victimized.
