Solvency II insurers, groups, and institutions for Occupational Retirement Provision (IORPs) are required to apply for and consistently use a Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) code in their reporting to the Dutch Central Bank (DNB). This obligation supports sound operational management under Section 3:17 of the Wft and Section 143 of the Pw, facilitating information exchange and risk analysis. Small insurers operating under the Solvency II Basic regime with limited risk size are exempt from this requirement.
