The National Bank of Belgium maintains the countercyclical buffer rate for exposures in Belgium at 0% for the quarter ending 1 July 2017. This decision applies to credit exposures to counterparties located on Belgian territory and is based on a credit-to-GDP gap of 0.4% for the non-financial private sector in Q1 2017. The rate remains unchanged from the previous setting established in the NBB regulation of 24 November 2015.
