The Pennsylvania Department of Banking advises that an Ohio state-chartered savings bank may establish a de novo branch in Pennsylvania under Section 904 of the Pennsylvania Banking Code of 1965. This permission is contingent upon Ohio laws permitting a Pennsylvania state-chartered savings bank to establish a branch in Ohio on substantially the same terms and conditions. The Department processes such interstate applications in accordance with the Nationwide Cooperative Agreement dated November 13, 1996.
