Regulation on Capital Markets Cross Border Introductions 2012

The Capital Market Authority of Rwanda issued Regulation No. 03 in 2012 to establish the legal framework for cross-border introductions of securities listed on recognized foreign stock exchanges. The regulation mandates that eligible applicants submit specific documentation, including an Information Memorandum and letters of no objection from primary regulators and exchanges, to obtain approval for listing. It further stipulates that while no specific cross-listing fee is charged, companies must adhere to standard annual listing fees and continue to comply with all Rwanda Stock Exchange trading and settlement rules.
