Regulation on the transitional period for the implementation of the Law No. 10/L-026 on payment services
The Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo approved a regulation establishing a transitional period for payment service providers licensed in Kosovo to adjust their operations to Law No. 10/L-026 on Payment Services. Providers intending to participate in SEPA Schemes or offer SEPA transfers must fully adapt their activities to Sections III and IV of the Law at least one month before applying to the European Payments Council or executing such transfers. These entities must also notify the Central Bank in advance of any application, invitation, or negotiation to join a SEPA Scheme. The regulation enters into force 15 days from its approval date and subjects violations to corrective measures and penalties defined in relevant laws.
