Foundations overseen by the Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan) must maintain a minimum endowment property value of NTD1.6 billion. The regulations define permissible investments, including unsecured corporate bonds, exchange-traded funds, and specific stocks, while imposing limits such as a 35% cap on total bond investments and a 5% cap on ETFs. Foundations with total property of NTD100 million or annual income of NTD10 million or more are required to establish internal control systems, obtain certified financial statements, and implement a code of ethics. Additionally, designated foundations must adhere to salary caps not exceeding central government ministers' pay and a bonus limit of 4.4 months' salary per employee per year.
