The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Bolivia approves the regulation governing the administration of additional collateral for intraday and overnight credits within the High-Value Payments System (SIPAV). This regulation authorizes direct SIPAV participants to pledge securities issued by the General Treasury of the Nation (TGN) and the Central Bank of Bolivia to expand their credit limits. It assigns the Open Market Operations Committee (COMA) the authority to define maximum collateral limits and valuation methodologies, while the Monetary Operations Management (GOM) handles custody and liquidation. The rules specify that participants must notify the Central Bank one business day in advance of changes, and mandate the liquidation of collateral if overnight loans are not repaid by 10:00 a.m. the following business day.
