SUBJECT: BOARD OF DIRECTORS – APPROVES NEW STATUTE OF THE CENTRAL BANK OF BOLIVIA.
HAVING REVIEWED:
Law No. 1670 of October 31, 1995.
Board Resolution No. 082/97 of February 20, 1997.
The Report from the Legal Affairs Management of the BCB No. 084/2001 of December 13, 2001.
CONSIDERING:
That the Statute Project responds to the spirit and provisions of Law No. 1670.
That the Central Bank of Bolivia, in its capacity as a public law entity of an autonomous nature, is authorized to establish its internal rules without the need for any additional administrative act. That the Statute constitutes the most important internal rule of the Bank, where the organization, hierarchy, and administrative structure of the entity are defined for the fulfillment of its objectives. That in accordance with Articles 44 and 54 subsection o) of Law No. 1670, it is the responsibility of the Board of Directors to approve, modify, and interpret the Statute and Regulations of the BCB.
