Resolution 105/2004
The Central Bank of Bolivia amends Article 5 of the Check Regulation to prohibit the issuance of checks in a currency different from the denomination of the underlying current account. This modification requires financial intermediation entities to ensure that check forms are issued exclusively for use in the currency of the respective account, thereby preventing foreign exchange mismatches and liquidity risks. The amendment enters into force on August 16, 2004.
