Resolution CMN No. 1188 — Establishment of the Rural Savings Book to Guarantee Resources for Agricultural Development

Resolution CMN No. 1188 establishes the Rural Savings Book (Caderneta de Poupança Rural) to capture resources for agricultural development in accordance with the Federal Government's Goals Plan. RESOLUTION NO. 001188

The CENTRAL BANK OF BRAZIL, in accordance with Article 9 of Law No. 4,595 of December 31, 1964, makes public that the MONETARY COUNCIL, in a session held on September 4, 1986, considering the provisions of Article 4, items VI and IX, of the aforementioned Law, and Articles 4, items I and IV, and 15, item I, letter "l", of Law No. 4,829 of November 5, 1965,

RESOLVES:

I - To establish the Rural Savings Book with the objective of capturing resources destined for the development of agriculture, in accordance with the guidelines established in the Federal Government's Goals Plan.

II - The Central Bank will adopt the necessary measures for the implementation of the new financial instrument.

III - This Resolution will enter into force on the date of its publication.
