Rule · BCB · 19 Jun 1995 · Resolução CMN 2165
Cocoa producers in Bahia and financial agents (Banco do Brasil, BNDES, Banco do Nordeste, Banco do Estado da Bahia) must finance CEPLAC-recommended recovery investments. Operations contracted in 1995 require semi-annual repayments aligned with revenue, mandatory technical assistance capped at 1% of project value, and optional guarantees. State Treasury risk coverage is limited to 12% of 1995 resources. Non-compliance suspends future credit assistance and triggers government intervention.
Establishes conditions for financing the Recovery Program for the Bahia Cocoa Crop, aimed at controlling the "vassoura-de-bruxa" disease and recu- pering the productivity of the ca- cocoa crop.
