The CENTRAL BANK OF BRAZIL, in accordance with Article 9 of Law No. 4,595 of December 31, 1964, makes public that the MONETARY POLICY COUNCIL, in a session held on June 28, 2001, based on Articles 4, items V and XXXI, and 57 of the aforementioned law, Laws No. 4,728 of July 14, 1965, 6,385 of December 7, 1976, and 6,404 of December 15, 1976, and Decree No. 41,724 of June 25, 1957,
RESOLVES:
Article 1. Authorize the IFC - International Finance Corporation to issue in the Brazilian securities market obligations in national currency, intended for the investments provided for in Decree No. 41,724 of June 25, 1957.
Sole Paragraph. The resources raised by the IFC in the Brazilian securities market must be reinvested exclusively in productive private enterprises within the national territory.
Article 2. For the purpose of complying with the provisions of this Resolution, the legislation regarding publicly held corporations applies to the IFC, insofar as applicable.
Article 3. The Central Bank of Brazil and the Securities and Exchange Commission are authorized, within their respective areas of competence, to issue norms and adopt measures deemed necessary for the execution of the provisions of this Resolution.
Article 4. This Resolution enters into force on the date of its publication.
