Resolution CMN No. 3181 — Establishes procedures for the alienation of federal public bonds classified as held-to-maturity

Resolution CMN No. 3181 establishes that the sale of federal public bonds classified as held-to-maturity, when simultaneously acquiring new bonds of the same nature with a longer maturity and equal or greater amount, does not disqualify the financial institution from maintaining that classification. The resolution requires that the amount of bonds sold, the effect on results, and the justification for the sale be disclosed in the notes to the financial statements. This rule applies to financial institutions and entered into force on the date of its publication.
